Gwalia Fans To Be Treated to a Home “Three-Peat”

Gwalia travel to Maidenhead this weekend looking to extend their promising start to the season, and any fans looking to travel to that game can take advantage of our match preview later on this week. However, for the large contingent that joined us for the recent game against Keynsham Town, Gwalia fans will be treated to an exciting run of three home games in seven days, with the team competing on multiple fronts. Tickets for these are available by clicking here.

The week begins with an important FA Cup tie against Yate Town on 25 October, kicking off at 14:00. We then return to league action on 29 October, when we host Bristol Rovers at USW Sports Park in the FA Women’s National League. That match starts at 19:45.

The third fixture is another meeting with Bristol Rovers, this time in the FA Women’s National Plate. The tie will be played on 1 November, with a 14:00 kick-off at Cambrian United’s ground in Tonypandy – an important change in location for fans looking to travel. Location postcode is CF40 2XX.

Manager Cori Williams-Mills said the week would be an important measure of the squad’s ability to sustain its performance across different competitions.

“The early part of the season is behind us, and we are now entering a different period when teams begin to establish themselves. Producing high standards consistently will be a significant opportunity for every squad, and we are no exception.”

Williams-Mills said the team’s experience could prove valuable as it faces that challenge, with many players having competed at Tier Three level and above.

“We have players with experience at that level and higher, and we want them to bring that knowledge and mentality into these fixtures. The aim is to show our quality, compete in every game and continue to earn opportunities.

With an FA Cup tie, a league fixture and a Plate match in quick succession, the week offers Gwalia the chance to make progress in all three competitions.

Supporters are encouraged to get behind the team throughout the run of fixtures. Remember to get your tickets by clicking here.
