Job Title: First Team Assistant Analyst
Reports to: First Team Manager – Fern Burrage-Male /
Head of Analysis – Patryk Białowąs
Location: Remote/ Newport International Stadium/ USW Sports Park
Salary: Voluntary/ unpaid internship
Hours of Work: 4-7 hours per week
Job Purpose:
An exciting opportunity to be part of the Gwalia United Football Club Analysis team for the 2024/2025 Season in the FA Women’s Southern Premier (Tier 3). The role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in a first team football analytics environment or someone studying towards an undergraduate/ postgraduate related sports degree.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Assistant Analyst:
- Assist with the preparation of player clips for post-match analysis
- Assist with the preparation of opposition clips for pre-match analysis
- Assist with the updating of statistical databases
- Support the Head of Analysis in specific tasks to aid the first team
- From time to time, support the analysis team in person at matchdays and training sessions
- Support in the collection and management of GPS data
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Ideally studying towards a sport related undergraduate/ postgraduate degree
- (Essential) FA Safeguarding for All Certificate
- An Ability to work Independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
- (Desired) Some experience either as a coach/ analyst or scout in the football industry/ exposure to a football back-room staff environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Hard-working and pro-active attitude towards CPD
- Proficiency in IT software
- Access to own electronic personal device i.e. MacBook
