Moneyfields v Gwalia United – Match Preview

Just 90 minutes separate Moneyfields and Gwalia United from reaching the FA Women’s National League Plate final, with both sides going head-to-head at the John Jenkins Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Kick-off is at 2pm.

Our route to the semi-final stage started back in October, defeating Tottenham Hotspur’s PGA side 4-3, before a 3-2 victory against London Bees in November was rounded off with a 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion’s PGA side.

Moneyfields sit top of the Division One South West table after 13 games, only losing on one occasion to Swindon Town, who are in second with two games in hand. So far in 2026, they are two wins from two, defeating Ascot United and London City Lionesses under-21s.

For Moneyfields, their route to this stage started with a 4-1 win over Bristol City’s Academy in October, following this up with a penalty shootout victory over Maidenhead United. Earlier in January, they hosted London City Lionesses in the quarter-finals, running rampant in a 6-1 win.

In Sunday’s other semi-final, Cheadle Town Stingers host Halifax.

Should this game finish in a draw after 90 minutes, the game will go to extra-time and penalties.
