Keehlan Panayiotou Joins Gwalia United as Coach Analyst

Gwalia United are delighted to confirm the addition of Keehlan Panayiotou to the club’s staff team ahead of the 2025/26 season. Keehlan joins in the role of Coach Analyst, further strengthening the club’s focus on individual player development, both on the grass and through performance analysis.

Head Coach James Thomas said:

“I’m delighted to welcome Keehlan to our technical team. His appointment allows us to sharpen our work with players on an individual level — both within sessions and beyond — by adding the crucial analysis lens to our programme. Keehlan brings strong experience from the Professional Game Academy system and the National League structure, which will prove invaluable as we continue building a platform for long-term success at Gwalia United.”

Keehlan arrives at Gwalia with an impressive and varied background across the women’s game, the Professional Game Academy system, and the military sporting environment.

Over the last two seasons, Keehlan has been part of the Bristol City Women Professional Game Academy, serving first as Assistant Coach, then stepping up as Co-Lead Coach with the U16s, while also providing support to the U21s squad on an ad-hoc basis. During this period, the U16s lifted the PGA Cup, with several players progressing into international squads for England, Wales, and Scotland, as well as stepping up to compete with the club’s U21s.

Keehlan previously spent four years with Swindon Town Women, operating as Assistant Manager under two different Head Coaches, helping guide the side from battling relegation to establishing themselves as a consistent top-half team in the FA Women’s National League Division One South West.

Speaking on his appointment, Keehlan said:

“I’m excited to be joining Gwalia United at an ambitious time for the club. I’m passionate about developing players and building environments that challenge individuals to improve — I believe my experience across different settings, from the PGA to senior women’s football and military sport, will help add value to what’s already a progressive and hard-working group.”

The club looks forward to welcoming Keehlan to the training ground as preparations continue for the upcoming season.
