Gwalia United and Tor Sports proudly announce the unveiling of the official 2024/25 Gwalia Kit, a collaboration that celebrates Welsh heritage and the future of football.
This partnership symbolises the fusion of Wales’ rich history with modern innovation, brought to life by Tor Sports, founded by Will Morgan in 2020. Tor Sports’ mission to offer unique team identities found a perfect match in Gwalia United’s commitment to its roots and vision for the future, creating a kit that embodies Welsh pride and tradition.
The 2024/25 Gwalia Kit, blending elements of Welsh culture with Gwalia United’s spirit, marks a new era of excellence and unity. Fans have the exclusive opportunity to pre-order the kit from March 1st to March 15th, with the first team debuting the kit against Oxford on May 5th.
Julian Jenkins, Gwalia United’s Co-Owner, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “We are beyond thrilled to partner with Tor Sports for our new kit. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our values and our aspiration to blend tradition with innovation. The new kit is more than just attire; it’s a declaration of our identity and our journey forward.”
Will Morgan of Tor Sports shared his enthusiasm, “It’s an honour to work with Gwalia United and to be part of a project that so closely aligns with our ethos of creating bespoke team wear that clubs can be proud of. We can’t wait for the fans and players to see the kit we’ve created together.” This kit launch coincides with the transformation of Cardiff City Ladies into Gwalia United for the 2024/2025 season, marking a new chapter for the only Welsh club in the English Football system.
The club’s name change to Gwalia United celebrates their cultural and historical identity and their commitment to the future of women’s football. Additionally, Gwalia United will be sponsored by Go.Compare in a three-year partnership starting with the 2024/2025 season.
Julian Jenkins spoke of the new era, “Today marks the start of a really exciting new chapter for women’s club football in Wales. Gwalia United is a testament to embracing our future while honouring our storied past… This collaboration is a partnership and a synergy of two organisations committed to driving positive change and fostering inclusivity.”
Lee Griffin, founder and CEO at Go.Compare, expressed his support for Gwalia United’s ambitions, “Go.Compare was born in Wales, so to be able to support the ambitions of Gwalia United is something we are really excited about.”
Together, Gwalia United and Tor Sports set a new standard for football kits, redefining what it means to wear your identity with pride, while Gwalia United embarks on a journey to represent Welsh roots and ambitions on a larger stage, supported by Go.Compare’s partnership.
