As the highest-ranked women’s football club in Wales and a cornerstone of the game’s development, we stand at the forefront of a new and exciting era for our sport and our nation.
Over the coming months, we will be launching our elite and participation programmes, developed in consultation with all stakeholders in the women’s game across Wales. These programmes will be designed to ensure that the incredible momentum sparked by Wales Women’s success is channelled into creating sustainable pathways for girls and women at all levels of the game.
A Legacy of Development:
Building the Welsh Game Gwalia United is proud to have played a vital role in shaping the landscape of Welsh women’s football. Ten members of the squad that secured qualification in Ireland are products of our pathway, a testament to the strength of our structures and the dedication of our coaches, staff, and players. Over the decades, nearly 100 Welsh internationals have emerged from our club, embodying the resilience, pride, and excellence that define Gwalia United. Today, our commitment to nurturing Welsh talent continues to thrive. This year alone, five of our players have represented Wales at the U19 level, and we are proud to have Laura O’Sullivan Jones, a beacon of inspiration and talent, in the senior national squad. These achievements reaffirm our role as a key driver of women’s football in Wales and our dedication to empowering the next generation of players.

The trailblazers of the early 1990s—Karen Jones, Michelle Adams, Kerry Burrows, and Laura McAllister, to name a few—stood at the vanguard of Welsh women’s football. Without their tireless efforts to champion the sport during a time when opportunities were scarce, this golden era for Welsh women’s football would not have been possible. We stand on their shoulders, inspired by their courage and commitment to creating a brighter future for women and girls in football.

Fel cyd-berchnogion Gwalia United, mae’n anrhydedd aruthrol i ni ddathlu camp hanesyddol Merched Cymru o gyrraedd UEFA Euro 2025 yn y Swistir. Mae’r gamp eithriadol hon yn cynrychioli mwy na buddugoliaeth ar y cae; mae’n bwynt trobwynt i bêl-droed Cymru ac yn foment fydd yn ysbrydoli cenedlaethau i ddod.
Yn Gwalia United, rydym yn teimlo balchder o fod wedi cyfrannu at y llwyddiant hwn, yn ogystal â’r cyfrifoldeb sydd ynghlwm wrtho. Fel y clwb pêl-droed merched â’r safle uchaf yng Nghymru ac fel un o gonglfeini datblygiad y gêm, rydym yn sefyll yn y rheng flaen oes newydd ac ysbrydoledig i’n chwaraeon a’n cenedl.
Yn ystod yr wythnosau a’r misoedd nesaf, byddwn yn lansio rhaglenni a ddatblygwyd mewn ymgynghoriad â phawb sydd â rhan yn y gêm i ferched ar draws Cymru. Adeiladu’r Gêm Gymreig
Mae Gwalia United yn falch o fod wedi chwarae rhan hanfodol wrth lunio tirwedd pêl-droed merched yng Nghymru. Mae deg aelod o’r garfan a sicrhaodd y llwyddiant yn Iwerddon yn gynnyrch ein llwybr datblygu – tystiolaeth o gryfder ein strwythurau a gwaith caled ein hyfforddwyr, staff, a’n chwaraewyr. Dros y degawdau, mae bron i 100 o chwaraewyr rhyngwladol Cymreig wedi dod trwy ein clwb, gan ymgorffori gwydnwch, balchder, ac ardderchowgrwydd Gwalia United.
Heddiw, mae ein hymrwymiad i feithrin talent Cymreig yn ffynnu o hyd. Yn ystod y flwyddyn hon yn unig, mae pump o’n chwaraewyr wedi cynrychioli Cymru ar lefel U19, ac rydym yn falch o gael Laura O’Sullivan Jones, un o sêr mwyaf ysbrydoledig a thalentog, yn y garfan genedlaethol uwch. Mae’r cyflawniadau hyn yn atgyfnerthu ein rôl fel grym allweddol ym mhêl-droed merched yng Nghymru ac yn adlewyrchu ein hymroddiad i rymuso’r genhedlaeth nesaf o chwaraewyr.
Anrhydeddu’r Arloeswyr
Wrth i ni ddathlu’r foment hanesyddol hon, mae hefyd yn bwysig cydnabod y menywod a balchderodd y ffordd at y llwyddiant hwn. Roedd arloeswyr y 1990au cynnar – Karen Jones, Michelle Adams, Kerry Burrows, a Laura McAllister, ymhlith eraill – ar flaen y gad ym mhêl-droed merched Cymru. Eu hangerdd, eu gwydnwch, a’u penderfyniad a osododd y sylfeini ar gyfer y cynnydd rydym yn ei weld heddiw. Cyfrifoldeb i’r Dyfodol
Mae’r llwyddiant hwn yn gatalydd ar gyfer newid. Yn Gwalia United, rydym yn cydnabod y cyfrifoldeb sy’n dod gyda’r foment hon. Fel gwarcheidwaid y gêm, rydym yn ymrwymo i sicrhau bod pob merch ifanc sy’n breuddwydio am chwarae pêl-droed yn cael mynediad at y llwybrau a’r cyfleoedd sydd eu hangen i wireddu eu potensial.
Tra bod heddiw yn foment i fyfyrio a dathlu, mae hefyd yn alwad i weithredu. Gyda’n gilydd â Chymdeithas Bêl-droed Cymru, sefydliadau cymunedol, a’n cymunedau, rhaid i ni adeiladu ar y foment hon i greu ecosystem gynaliadwy, gynhwysol, a ffyniannus i bêl-droed merched. Fel perchnogion, rydym yn unfrydol yn ein cred bod llwyddiant Merched Cymru yn perthyn i bawb ohonom – ac felly hefyd y cyfrifoldeb dros yr hyn sydd i ddod.
Pŵer Pêl-droed i Drawsnewid Bywydau
Mae gan bêl-droed y pŵer i ddod â phobl ynghyd, chwalu rhwystrau, ac ysbrydoli newid. I ni, mae Gwalia United yn fwy na chlwb; mae’n symudiad sy’n ymroddedig i greu cyfleoedd, hybu gwydnwch, a dathlu ysbryd unigryw Cymru. Mae ein gwerthoedd craidd o undod, balchder, treftadaeth, rhagoriaeth, gwydnwch, a chynhwysiant yn arwain pob penderfyniad a phob cam tuag at ddyfodol mwy disglair i bêl-droed merched.
Wrth edrych ymlaen at Euro 2025, rydym yn gweld nid yn unig twrnament, ond dechrau etifeddiaeth. Mae’n etifeddiaeth rydym, fel clwb, wedi ymrwymo’n ddwys i’w llunio, ac rydym yn gwahodd ein cefnogwyr, partneriaid, a rhanddeiliaid i ymuno â ni yn y genhadaeth hon.
